Celebrating a Milestone: Completion of Whittier and Burbank Courthouses UBMS Projects

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the UBMS projects for both the Whittier and Burbank Courthouses, accomplished in the same week under the expert leadership of Dario Torres at Solara Systems Inc. This achievement marks a significant milestone, showcasing our team’s dedication and collaboration with Emcor/Mesa Energy and the prime contractor.

The Whittier Courthouse project presented unique challenges, requiring an aggressive after-hours schedule. Solara’s team worked diligently, coordinating seamlessly with ceiling contractors while commissioning the VAVs alongside Emcor engineers. Simultaneously, we managed the installation of all communications cabling and new power infrastructure, alongside fitting the VAVs and jumpers, ensuring every detail was executed with precision.

Following the lessons learned from Whittier, the Burbank Courthouse install proceeded more smoothly. Though smaller in scale, it benefited from the refined processes established earlier, allowing for an efficient nighttime execution. Both projects were completed after hours, ensuring uninterrupted courthouse operations during the day.

This success underscores the strength of the Solara and Emcor partnership, delivering proven solutions that pave the way for future projects. Under Dario’s guidance, Solara continues to set the standard for excellence in telecommunications and infrastructure development.

Dario Torres is a seasoned telecommunications professional with over a decade of experience as a BICSI Certified Low Voltage Technician. Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, Dario consistently delivers exceptional workmanship, leveraging his extensive field expertise to ensure the success of every project he undertakes.

Throughout his career, Dario has been instrumental in developing robust network infrastructure for industry leaders such as Facebook, Apple, Rivian, UCLA, and Amazon. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the nationwide deployment of Amazon’s Just Walk Out (JWO) technology, enhancing the retail experience in Amazon stores across the country.

As a Foreman at Solara Systems Inc., Dario demonstrated outstanding leadership in overseeing the VA Loma Linda Hospital UBMS Project. Under his guidance, his dedicated team completed the project on schedule while maintaining seamless functionality throughout the hospital.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dario enjoys quality time with his family, hiking, playing tennis, and cheering for his beloved Los Angeles Lakers.
