Solara Systems Secures New Fiber‑Optic Infrastructure Project at VA Loma Linda

Solara Systems Inc. has been awarded a new project at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, where our team will deliver a critical fiber‑optic infrastructure upgrade in support of the Graphics Control office. This effort represents the final phase of the 34‑Service Bay UBMS modernization initiative, completing the VA’s transition to a fully Single Mode Fiber backbone for HVAC and multiple facility shops across the campus.

This project further strengthens Solara’s position as a trusted SDVOSB and SBA 8(a) partner delivering high‑performance, mission‑ready infrastructure solutions for federal healthcare environments.

A Purpose‑Built, Stand‑Alone Fiber Backbone

The new installation will deliver:

• End‑to‑end Single Mode Fiber

Providing maximum bandwidth, long‑distance signal integrity, and future‑ready capacity for facility systems.

• A dedicated, independent fiber network

Engineered specifically for building systems and fully isolated from the VA’s IT network—reducing load, improving segmentation, and enhancing system‑level performance.

• Enhanced support for HVAC and shop operations

Supplying the robust backbone required for modern automation, monitoring, and control technologies.

This upgrade marks a significant advancement in the VA’s ongoing effort to modernize facility operations and strengthen reliability across mission‑critical environments.

Advancing the Final Phase of the UBMS Modernization

This project builds on Solara’s continued performance throughout the 34‑Service Bay UBMS modernization effort. With this final phase underway, the VA Loma Linda facility will operate on a unified, high‑speed fiber infrastructure designed for long‑term resilience and scalability.
